Respect for all people: The Quran emphasizes the value and dignity of every human being. “O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted.” (Quran 49:13)
Justice and fairness: The Quran instructs Muslims to be just, even towards those who may be hostile to them. “O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm for Allah, witnesses in justice, and do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what you do.” (Quran 5:8)
Dialogue and understanding: The Quran advocates for peaceful dialogue and understanding between different parties. “And do not argue with the People of the Scripture except in a way that is best, except for those who commit injustice among them, and say, ‘We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you. And our God and your God is one; and we are Muslims [in submission] to Him.'” (Quran 29:46)
Non-aggression: The Quran instructs Muslims not to initiate harm. “Fight in the way of Allah those who fight you but do not transgress. Indeed, Allah does not like transgressors.” (Quran 2:190)
Cooperation in righteousness: The Quran encourages Muslims to cooperate with all people in matters of goodness and virtue. “And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty.” (Quran 5:2)
Kindness and forgiveness: The Quran instructs Muslims to respond to harm with good and to be forgiving. “Repel [evil] by that [deed] which is better; and thereupon the one whom between you and him is enmity [will become] as though he was a devoted friend.” (Quran 41:34)
