Media decides how to look at an event.

1. Consensus Building – Ussually to give legitimacy to the status quo or people in power.
   1. Media Control means you get close to the ruling elites.
2. Notion of Chaos – Media played a big role. Psychological warfare.

      2. Rupture of relations between components of the Muslim Ummah happenned because of phsychological warfare.
      3. They sent historians and archeologists to Iraq and Syria. They learnt everything. They drew a miltary map with the entire terrain of the country.

         3. Military coup to bring in the Shah of Iran by the CIA. London Time said “He will bring the enlightened modernity.” This is the chaos and phychological warfare of the media.
         4. New York Times wrote, “The Mussadegh coup ” Fanatical nationalism”. It will strengthen the hands of more reasonable leaders.
         5. Direct threat to anyone who want to nationalize their resources.

      1. No more information warfare, but information dominance.
      2. Media is planned before wars – what will be said and shown to the public.
      3. Everyone must be singing the same tune.
   4. 2010s
      1. Social became a major player to mobilize people.
      2. AI generated content. Algorithms are tilted towards Israel.
      3. War and Anti-War: Alvin and Haley Toffler – The evolution of war:

         2. 1 Century ago: Wars for production facilities
         3. Today: Wars for the control of minds and preceptions.
   5. Israeli contradictions
      1. We are the victims of genocide, while they are performing a genocide.
      2. They are barbaric. We are peaceful – No rules, killing doctors and journalists.
      3. The loss of the higher moral ground.
      4. Unprofessionalism – Fake footage, lies, censorship, lynching, silencing, harrasment.
   6. Israel has a Gen Z problem
      1. Psychological power is eroding.
      2. Al-Jazeera is providing good coverage of the war.
      3. More mobilization. More interest in Palestinian rights.
